Fenway neighborhood involvement

From 1978 until 2000 our office was located at 30 Edgerly Road, and was the only law office in the Fenway. From 2000 until 2004 we were located at 852 Huntington Avenue, and were the only law office in Mission Hill.

Galen Gilbert has long been active in Fenway organizations, and serving as an attorney for Fenway residents. He is a past President of the Fenway Community Development Corporation, a past Vice-President of the Fenway Civic Association, and the only past President of the Fenway Community Land Trust. For many years of great expansion he was General Counsel to the Fenway Community Development Corporation and its many subsidiary corporations and partnerships. Many Fenway and Mission Hill residents use this law office, typically for estate planning and administration or landlord tenant relations.

Continuing his interest in community involvement, between 2004 and 2009 Galen Gilbert served on board of directors of Mission Hill Main Streets. He has been elected to ward political committees in the South End and in Mission Hill. Since 1984 he has served as a Trustee of the Boston Groundwater Trust, representing the Fenway Community Development Corporation on that board.
